What Precautions Should Be Taken To Avoid Infection On Second Degree Burns?
I have second degree burns on my hand that was caused by hot grease that spilled while I was cooking. I went to the emergency room immediately and my hand was cleaned by a saline solution and was treated with a topical ointment. I am not scheduled to see a burn specialist until Monday which is two days away from now. What can I do in the meantime to make sure I keep the wound clean and avoid infection?
