What Will Happen If I Stop Oxycontin Suddenly?
I ve been on oxycontin 20mg every 12 hours for 6 months. I was on oxycodone & metaxalone but ran out of those. I m almost out of the oxycontin & fell into a situation of no insurance & no money to see my pain management doctor or pay for refills. What might happen to me stopping these in 2 days because I have no more. I m scared because of the horror stories I ve been told,

I would advice my patient to taper the dose rather than stopping it altogether in 2-3 days. If abruptly stopped, then you might experience withdrawal symptoms. It is difficult to predict how much severe or what type of symptoms you can experience.
