Why Do I Have Mottled Skin On My Leg After Taking Synthroid?

Hello, I am a 40 year female and was just diagnosed with hypothyroid, my numbers were off the charts. I have a history of two open heart surgeries to repare, and then replace my aortic valve. I started synthroid 3 weeks ago, with some improvement. I now have mottled skin on only my left lower leg, on the side. What could it be? I also have no insurance, eek!
