25, female, 130lbs, 5'8". I've had some minor trauma to my neck & head area in the past (whiplash, injured in previous relationship of domestic violence). But lately it has been causing me extreme stiffness, pain and excruciating headaches, to the point I have to leave work and sleep with a heating pad wrapped around my head. No medications seem to be offering relief and it is increasingly becoming a problem in my life as I have a young son that I must stay active for. I crack my neck to relieve stiffness (which gives me a weird taste in my mouth, what's up with that?), and most times creates the headache, so I'm finding myself in a vicious cycle. Any suggestions for any tests I should seek or physiotherapy?
