8 Year Old Child, Broken Nose, No Pain. Treatment Options?
My 8 yr old daughter woke up one morning and it looked like she broke it.but no pain or anything.now the bridge of her nose has become so wide..that even strangers are asking her what happened..no pain at all.she has had a palet expander that we have been turning it for 2 months.the ortho said it would not have anything to do with her nose..I will be seeing a ent in the morning just wondering if you have any infor on this

X-ray nasal bone is the initial investigation to look for any nasal bone fracture.
But without a history of trauma and pain, the fracture of the nasal bones and deformity of the nasal bridge is unusual.
But as the child is still growing, the time of surgery to correct the widening deformity of nasal bridge will be decided by your ENT specialist.
So consult the ENT surgeon for the opinion on correction and the timing of surgery.
