About 3 Days Ago I Noticed That Half Of Each

About 3 days ago I noticed that half of each of my hands were numb (approximately from my middle finger over to my little finger, and the numbness goes down my hands and stops around my wrist areas. By the way, I don't have any "tingling", just numbness.

My question is should I try to see a doctor, such as a neurologist, right away (as in this week) or is it something that I can just get a regular appointment which could realistically be a waiting period of up to a couple of months?

Thank in advance for any assistance you can offer me!
