Can A UTI Cause A Seizure?

Ok, my friend who is 68 had a seizure. They did a brain scan, no bleed, they did a chemical stress test and a carotid artery ultrasound and are putting it all together to see what could have caused it. They said it could possibly be a UTI. Is that possible or could stress cause it? She s been under a lot of stress. Her husband has Parkinson s, her 40 year old daughter is home with her on disability, her mother spiked a 104.4 fever this past sunday due to cellulitis and her sister s mother-in-law died last Friday. She has this seizure at the after funeral reception. I just never heard of a UTI causing this before.
