I am a nurse and am seeing a patient at home who has multiple medical problems. She had bilateral mastectomies for CA 7 years ago, she has diabetes, early stage kidney disease, and COPD, (oxygen dependent). She is alert, oriented and aware of her condition. Last week she developed "shaking of her arms", she said she couldn't stop her arms from shaking. Her oxygen sats went down in the 80's, so she increased from 2.5 L/M to 4 L/M until her sats returned to the 90's. She said she felt very cold during the episode which lasted most of the night. Then the shakes stopped, she wasn't cold anymore, but she was very tired and slept all day the next day. I thought she might be having a seizure, but she has no history of a seizure disorder and she did not lose consciousness. Your thoughts?
