Dear Doctor,
I am 38 years old.
This started happening around 8 months back.
I was driving for an hour when on a turn suddenly I started feeling uneasiness..like a sinking feeling... I stopped for a minute and then drove slowly to my destination around 1 km. After sometime the feeling became strong and I was terrified.. Went to doctor, who did ECG and BP etc... & ruled out any heart related issue. He diagnosed it to be caused by acidity and prescribed antacids.. There after 3-4 months, I used to have these feelings often but not so strong and I took antacids.. & felt relatively better over 1 - 2 hours.
But now again, I have experienced an incident while walking someplace in the evening time, when suddenly I had this strong sinking feeling and I entered a restaurant, sat down and took a disprin tablet.. After few minutes, I was able to walk again to my place, but not having proper balance and full control of my body and mind. All this while feeling a kind of surge in my brain.
During such episodes, I don't feel like even talking to someone. Just want to lay down and sleep.
Otherwise, I am healthy and have proper diet. Although I am not very active physically but not overweight also.
I am taking consultation from a MD- Physician, Cardiologist & Diabetologist.
I have been advised for & taken following tests today - GLYCOSYLATED HAEMOGLOBIN, THYROID PANEL, VIT. D3, ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTSTION RATE, LIPID PROFILE, BLOOD SUGAR FASTING, CBC, VIT. B12, METROPOLIS. and await the test results tomorrow.
Meanwhile, my doctor has prescribed me Escigress CZ 0.5 & also Fludac 20 for 10 days.
Though, i am into a stressful job, but as such I don't feel depressed and have a contended feeling about my life. Hence, I am sceptical about starting anti-depressants (after looking through the side effects).. Please advise.
