Dear Dr Mia Lundi, My wife and I are thinking about start having kids. My wife has been on birth control for over 15-years, now age 31, since age 15, because of irregular menstrual periods. Not so that she can have sex but because of lots of blood in her period. She does have some blood while when we have sex while she is on the pill. Now, we want to stop using birth control for pregnancy. First, when she stops taking the birth control pill, will there be a period of lots of blood in there when we have sex? Second, how long after she stops taking the birth control pill can she be able to get pregnant? Thank You
