Does Physiotherapy Heals 7 Weeks Post Rotator Cuff (open) Surgery Associated Pain?

Hi I am 7 weeks post rotator cuff (open) surgery for full thickness tear. For first 6 weeks I wore a sling and bolster. Area around my scar is very very sensitive and generally I seem to be in more pain now than in the past few weeks. I start physio next week. Will this help to improve the pain? Cheers Belle
