Dr Bhushan- I just returned home from Lexington, Ky today, after having the 6 month ct scan to check for any further cancers in the kidneys. Last year, July 25th, I had a surgery after the CT scan showed cancer. During the surgery, the top ofthe kidney was skimmed off and the surgeon took out the tumor, which turned out to only be a stage 1 cancer. I started recuperating and went back in Feb for the 6 month scan to be repeated. It was fine, and today was the second time I had it repeated. My surgeon was concerned over my kidney having a grayish shadow over the kidney, but stated he did not see any cancers. However he feels an MRI should be done with the contrast dye to make double sure all is well. My surgeon has never seen this, and I'm wondering if you have seen it before and what do you think it means?
