For Quite A While I Had A Sinus Infection But

For quite a while I had a sinus infection but it seems to have subsided. However, the past week, I have had intermittent, severe pain (a profound ache) in my lower left jaw primarily but occasionally my upper left jaw. I see my dentist this Thursday to rule out an abscess or some other tooth issue. If I have to, I can also see an ENT doc. I have been taking fairly heavy doses of motrin or naproxen, along with cold compresses to relieve the pain (but it still comes and goes). Finally last evening, I had a sharp pain that traveled up my left jaw and ended toward the top of my left ear. Any thoughts? When the pain flares up, I'd rate it an 8 on my pain scale. Thanks.
