Hello, 4 years ago I got what I thought were shin splints after months of 4+ hours of soccer practice every day, which did not surprise me too much. The pain was in the front of my calf just above my ankle and was dull but lead to shooting, aching pains. Ever since, I get shin splints every time the soccer season again. I took last year off because they got so bad, and this year, (after a year off) I got them the worst that I have ever gotten them after only 2 or 3 practices, and now after my 6th practice, the pain is so bad that I can barely walk without limping. Ideas?? I'm desperate to be able to play again.
