Hello Doctor.
I had a bad fall from my bike a week ago. I had severe cuts on my palm, my arm and my knee. I took a tetanus shot, oral antibiotics and have cleaned the wounds several times with dettol and applied neosporin powder for healing. The wounds on my arm and palm have dried and dont hurt anymore, nut the wounds on my knee are pretty deep. Due to excess use of neosporin powder, it has formed a black layer on the wound and when i puncture that layer, a mixture of puss and blood oozes out. I cannot remove the black coating as the sides of the coating are attached to the skin around the wound. Should I forcible remove the black coating or leave the wound to heal. Also, should I switch to soframycin or continue with neosporin powder. I am supposed to go to the beach in 3 days, what is your advice regarding that??
