Hello, I am curious about herpes 2. My partner a few years ago tested positive, but took medication to help reduce the spread of infection. This was nearly four years ago and since then I have never had a single physical symptom. Not a bump, not an itch. Nothing. But, just to be sure, I took a blood test and tested positive at having a ratio of 1.3 or 1.5 (can't remember which, but it was one of the two). I did some further research and found that an absolutely positive ratio is like 2.5 - 3. The lab consultant told me that it may have been a false positive. Anyway, I am curious about how many false positive tests results there are with herpes testing, and, what further tests to do to confirm whether or not I am infected.
Thank you, Ryan
