Hello, I Have Been Treated For Scabies For The Last

Hello, I have been treated for scabies for the last week,severe itch ext. Last Tues. my scrotum/testicle became swollen it started and became very bad within 2-21/2 he's went to a stat care where scabies was diagnosed 5% perm creme and antibiotic prescribe creme has been used twice itching has diminished greatly but the swelling has not.Friday went to the ER. tests were done,ultrasound,blood work,& XRays nothing definitive was found could this be caused by a reaction to the mites and would a steroid like pred. Help,l'm going to my gp today. Thanks
