Hello, I noticed what I thought was a mosquito bite on my leg just above my ankle because it was itchy. I itched the area with the back of my other leg. A while later i discovered a flap of skin about the size of a quarter that I must have dislodged while my leg was rubbing over the itchy area. The itchy area, about the size of a quarter, was red and weeping with some clear fluid and a little blood. I figured that a blister must have developed and rubbing with my other leg had dislodged the skin covering the blister. The itchy area was very red, sore to the touch, and kind of burning a little. I did not notice an itchy feeeling any more. The 3/4 inch wide area surrounding the open sore is a little pink. Somewhat of a scab had formed over the open sore. After about 2 days with no further healing, my wife suggested I coat the open sore with neosporin and cover with a bandage. Before applying the neosporin, I rubbed the open sore with hydrogen peroxide. I removed the bandage after 2 days and there is no improvement regarding the sore. The 3/4" wide area around the sore is still a little pink. About 1 1/2" away from the open sore I noticed what appears to be a blister about 3/8" in diameter. I never noticed this small blister before. I am somewhat concerned that the open sore is still red, sore to the touch, and weeping somewhat. It still burns a little although the area surrounding the open sore does not feel warmer than other areas of my lower leg. My wife suggests I see our primary care physician. And thoughts as to what this open sore my be, as well as the small blister beside it. Thanks, Jeff
