Hello, I Suffer From Severe Spinal Stenosis, And Have Severe

Hello, I suffer from severe spinal stenosis, and have severe arthritis throughout my back. I also have fibromyalgia, and have severe pain all the time. At times, when walking my right knee will go out. I was on norco 10mg/325 six times a day. I am seeing a new doctor who says that is way too much norco in one day and he stopped the norco and started me on the butrans patch 20mcg per hour. I've been on it for 2 1/2 months and while it helps some, I still am in pain. My doctor had mentioned if this didn't work he could try I believe methadone. My question is, would methadone be stronger and work better, or should I stick with the patch, and if I stay on the patch is there anything I can take with it to help with the pain?? I would really appreciate your opinion or answer. Thank you
