Hello, my father underwent right total knee replacement at the end of september in ahmedabad, india. Due to low-grade fevers and fatigue, followed by blood tests, which should CRP of 181, he was admitted for debridement and pus was extracted from the right leg. This was done about 10 days back. Yesterday again due to low-grade fevers and a CRP of 181, he had to undergo the same procedure. He has been diagnosed as having infection in the right knee. After the time of first debridement, MSSA was found and accordingly he was started on therapy. But now, after the second debridement, his antibiotic dose has been increased. Can you please guide us as to how to tackle this infection as it has been nearly 2-1/2 months since the TKA. My father is 70 years of age and has no diabetes or hypertension. Please advise. Thank you.
