Hello there,
I am a 26 year old, overall healthy female, who recently experienced my first time tonic seizure; followed by 2 clonic seizures as I was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. In brief; after two MRI's & a catscan, I was informed by the Doctors I had a posterior arachnoid cyst 5cm×1.5cm in my brain. I was also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, possible stage 2 mild kidney disease, a UTI & extreme low potassium levels. I was proscribed Celexa (anti depressant) & klonopin (anti siezure) medication until my follow up, which is tomorrow. I have noticed, sinced July of this year, my hearing has become more & more faint in my right ear; almost to the point of complete hearing loss on that side. Other gradual differences I've noticed include: my coordination/balance has become slightly unstable, my mood swings/emotions have been completely out of control (angry, sad, happy, confused, agitated, impatient, overwhelmed, lack of interest/communication/activities/living.) I've also noticed my anxiety levels rise to its peak, I have extreme fatigue, decreased appetite, complication with memory, speech, vision, & vocabulary. My question to you is what are the possible treatments for my conditions, & do they all/some connect? Is my cyst considered large? What are the risk factors of the area in which it is located?
I would like to know as much information about the type/size of cyst I have as possible please. I really appreciate all your time reading this & am hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks again.
Sabrina
