Hi Doctor, I have a question regarding Herpes that I can't specifically find the answer to online.
I have symptoms that appear to be Herpes and got a blood test for it (as well as other STD). All tests came back negative. I understand that the antibodies need time to develop in the body, but here is my question, but does that only apply to those who suspect infection, but have no symptoms. In other words, since I have symptoms, shouldn't my antibodies be active and detectable in the blood if it is in fact Herpes?
