Hi Dr. I Am A Concerned Mother Of 1, He

Hi Dr. I am a concerned mother of 1, he is 22 yrs of age, living 4 hours away from home getting ready to go back to college in a couple of weeks. He wakes up one day and the whole side of his face has drooped as if he was having a stroke, pretty healthy all his young life, never any health issues at all. I told him to go immediately to the emergency room, its Bells Palsey? They put him on prednisone and valtrex? Only for 5 days, and then to follow up with a primary dr.. Do you think that this was the right treatment? And do you know how long it usually lasts? Can it be permanant? Please let me know, thanks!
