Hi! For A Long Time I've Had A Red, Swollen

Hi!
For a long time I've had a red, swollen spot in my left caruncle of my eye. It went away for a little while, but came back even worse this weekend, after a night out drinking. I'm a bit concerned, but a year ago when I asked my doctor she said it was nothing, because I thought it might be herpes (have it on my lip). It kinda looks like one of those tiny white spots in the caruncle is swollen or something. And my eye is a little red in the corner next to it. It dosent hurt, but it does look irritated and abnormal... Should I see an eyedoctor, or just wait it out with some eyedrops or something?
