I am 38 years old and just got a report from my obgyn that my pap is abnormal (first abnormal ever). They said that I tested negative for HPV, which can be a cause of an abnormal pap. He booked me for a colposcopy in 2 weeks but in the meantime I am going crazy with possibilities. What is exactly what I am looking at here? what are the options that are possible for an abnormal pap? Can it be anything else other than cancer?
