Hi, I Am A 47 Year Old Female. Relatively In

Hi, I am a 47 year old female. Relatively in good health, on no medications and no conditions i.e high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes. I have been to the emergency department 2 times in less than a week. I had a sudden severe stabbing pain in my left flank was diagnosed with kidney stones then did a bedside ultrasound and could not detect any stones, but was sure that was what I had, so they sent me home with a prescription of pain meds. I returned to the ER 4 days later the pain hadn't moved and was just as severe. This time they did a CT scan again could not find any kidney stones but found 2 gall stones but they said that they could not be the problem. They sent me home with more pain meds and said that I had deep muscle back pain? How could this be when I don't have any back pain at all. What should I do? I don't really want to take the new medication if I don't know what my condition is.
