Hi,
I am a 50 year old man in good health. About 4 weeks ago, I had a freak injury (hit in the testicles) which caused swelling. Went to primary doctor who stated that it appeared to be a scortum hydrocele. He sent me to have an ultrasound to ensure there was no other issues (i.e. cancer, hernia). Got the all clear on that and was then referred to a urologist. The urologist concurred that it was scrotum hydrocele and stated that surgery would be the best solution. In the meantime, my primary doctor prescribed ibuprofen to help with both the swelling and any possible infection. Long story short, the swelling has gone done significantly since then to the point of being almost normal and there is no discomfort. I canceled the surgery and decided to take the "wait and see" approach. My question is this, my primary doctor initially told me to abstain from sex , heavy lifting and most exercises. Is it ok for me now to do these things or is there still a reason for me to not ?
