Hi, I Am Curious To Something That Has Recently Appeared.

Hi, I am curious to something that has recently appeared. A few days ago, i noticed with the pass of my tongue I realized that my bottom lip felt a little odd, not as smooth as it usually is. So, I got up and went to check in the mirror and on either side of my lip, on the inside, there are bruises. No, I was not hit, nor had i fallen into anything, nothing too cold, or hot to scold my mouth either. Any idea what could be going on? This is the first time i have experienced it.
