Hi. I Am New To This, And Am "self Diagnosing"

Hi. I am new to this, and am "self diagnosing" at this point. My symptoms do correspond to those given earlier in this presentation. Occasionally 2-3 days of fatigue, glands in neck become swollen, have aching pretty much all over, lots of heat indicating inflamation. I slather on Ben-Gay, wrap up in a warm robe, drink green tea. Then it may go away for days or weeks... then in the night or early morning It returns, perhaps without the swollen glands, and more localized; pain in thumbs & down the wrists and upper arms, shoulders, and balls of feet...; these symptoms tend to become less noticeable as the day progresses, and do not cause me too much trouble...this may go on for several days, then practically no problem for a few days before it starts in again. I have tried to determine whether any of it is diet related. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.
