I discovered a bald path on my scalp a month and a half ago by chance(nye). I do remember that my scalp itched the week before, but not the week I discovered it. (I'm female)' I also noticed that my hair was falling out more than before the last couple of months before the bald patch. I went to a doctor and he described disprosone and minoxidil. I went for a second opinion after a few weeks at a dermatologist. She told me my hair was greasy by nature and prescribed me clodex shampoo for that. ( I used it for two weeks now, but I feel doutbful cause it's meant for psoriasis)and also to continue with minoxidil and diprosone creme. Because my hair does not stop falling out massively, I went back yesterday and she described me a syringe with 2 ml cortisone along with antibiotics(tetracyline) for the counterefect of increased acne. She also prescribed diprosalic lotion.
I have been taking pro alline 30 the whole time as well.
Now, I am confused. Did she forget she prescribed me the first medication or not? I don't believe I have to take all the medication now, it's three times the same cortisone AND clodex shampoo. And do I still use minoxidil together with the new lotion? Do I stop minoxidil and the creme? What to apply and what not.
I do see that one bald spot seems to have mini new babyhairs, but other spots are still emerging.
I did have the syringe yesterday by the way.
