Hi,
I had a dental abscess two weeks ago, which involved numbness in lower left lip and chin. I then had emergency root canal treatment to relieve the abscess infection pain. The numbness for the anesthesia soon dissipated, but the original numbness still persists. It seems to be improving in the chin, but not in the lip, which feels much more swollen inside (the part that touches my gums). So as before, it is both numb and hypersensitive. I need to have lots more dental work; should I be worried about more numbness?
Thanks!
Deborah
