Hi I Had An C Section On 28 Of July

Hi I had an c section on 28 of July I went in to day hosp and I asked them what kinda stitches I got they told me it's going to dissappear no need to remove but I can c the stitches and it's black stitches so is it possible that I got the wrong info from them ?
