Hi, I have been having a snapping, burning sensation in my left wrist (the outer part of the joint) when I move my hand for about three months. It feels like an electric shock. I also have some swelling in the outer part of my wrist. I noticed the onset of this when I had to a lot of lifting my toddler grandchildren when I started babysitting them all day while their parents are at work.
I also have had swelling in the outer part of my left ankle for about 6 months. It is not painful, and I have not had an injury to it that I am aware of. The swelling goes down some overnight or when I elevate my feet for a while. I have also noticed that I have had intermittent numbness and slight swelling behind my left knee spreading down into my calf and down to my ankle that appeared at the same time. I also have noticed clicking in that knee joint and sometimes it feels like my knee joint moves the wrong way, causing pain, when I go up and down stairs. I do have varicose veins and thought the swelling might be related to that. I also have a several year history of intermittent sciatica in my left leg that caused sharp intermittent pain in the back of my thigh.
