Hi,
I missed a shot of methamphetamine in my upper inner right forearm.
As a precursor: I know the risks involved, that it's caustic to my health (clearly) I just want to have an idea as to the severity of my symptoms so I don't go waste a bed in an ER or urgent care which could be put to better use helping a someone with problems more serious than those related to drugs.
I inserted the needle and pulled back the plunger. I registered blood the same as always (although this time it seemed darker than usual) and there was absolutely no stinging or burning at all. I injected about 20 units and then felt a sting so I moved the needle a bit reregistered and continued and quickly (maybe too quickly) depressed the plunger injecting the other 40 units, however did not get high or feel any effect at all. Instead my entire inner forearm went numb and although in terms of size and proportion it is no different than my other forearm it feels swollen. Inversely it also FEELS like the fluid is just sitting in my arm.. not sure exactly how to articulate what it feels like. There is a small ball typical of a missed shot at the injection, but I've never had my entire arm go numb or feel like it's inner side has a fluid sack attached to it? I'm hoping it's just radial palsy? Help, please? Thank you!
