Hi, I've had a lingering afterimage, as if I'd just looked into a bright light, in my visual field for my right eye for about a month. It looks like a capital letter "J" that's been rotated 90 degrees to the right and is just below the center of my vision. It's extremely distracting when working on the computer.
I'm type 1 diabetic, and just went in for a dilated eye exam yesterday. They told me there were no signs of bleeding or edema or retinopathy, and weren't able to tell me what was causing this. I'm considering maybe it's neurological? Could it possibly be stress-induced?
Is this worth going to se a neuro-ophthalamologist? The only other medication I'm taking is adderall for attention deficit disorder. This is very distracting and makes it hard for me to work on the computer.
Thanks!
