Hi, My Brother (11) Suffered Kidney Damage 6 Months Ago

Hi,
My brother (11) suffered kidney damage 6 months ago that caused blood, proteins in urine, high ldh, urea, BUN and max 6 creatinine. The doctors did plasmapheresis as they suspected he has HUS. The rests for AHUS came negative. Last tests for creatinine showed 4 and almost normal urea & ldh levels. He is passing urine 5-6 times in a day. He has hypertenstion now sometimes it gets severe. And is on dilaysis 2 times a week. The doctora said that the kidneys have failed. And he'll need transplant but the chances are 50-50 that it'll be successfull or not. We are worried about him. Can hid kidneys recover without transplant. Why isn't his BP getting controlled with medicines? Are there no hopes?
Kindly reply me.
Thanking in anticipation.
