Hi. My Middle Finger Felt Funny And Then Went Completely

Hi. My middle finger felt funny and then went completely black (like a large bruise) The colour is now fading but the finger keeps going numb from the middle section towards the tip. Should I be concerned or is it just a broken vessel causing the discolouration?
