Hi, I Suffer From Extreme Pain In The Bridge Of

Hi, i suffer from extreme pain in the bridge of my foot due to osteoperosis and general degenerative bone structure , one surgeon suggested an operation which would involve taking bone from my heal and fusing the bones, having me in plaster then a boot for 4 months, this sounds a bit drastic, is there a less invasive procedure you can recommend? i am 81 years of age.
