I Am 64 Years Old. Very Healthy. No Medications Other

I am 64 years old. Very healthy. No medications other than 81mg aspirin daily and vitamin supplements. Within the last 4 months, I have had 3 episodes of severe bone and joint pain. The first occurred in my left shoulder and arm. An orthopedist gave me an injection in my shoulder, which did not help. She referred me to physical therapy thinking I might have a rotator cuff tear. She ordered an MRI, but by the time my insurance approved it, the pain was completely gone (approximately a week and a half). The next episode affected my right shoulder and arm. I had the same symptoms, but not as severe. Within a week after the pain and stiffness subsided, I developed pain in my right hip and thigh and my knee. I went to a chiropractor thinking I might have done something to aggravate my back. The chiropractor found nothing wrong with my alignment and ordered an MRI of my lumbar region. I was still in significant pain when the MRI was approved, so I went through with it. The results showed no problem with my back other than some degenerative changes at L4-L5 (which is the area I had surgery on approximately 16 years ago). The pain worsened to the point that I could not get out of the bed unassisted. In the mornings, I could not bend my knee/leg, nor could I bend my right arm. The muscles were that rigid! After I would get up and walk around for a while, the pain would almost completely subside. However, if I sat down for more than 5 minutes at a time, I would need assistance standing. I'm scared. I've never been sick. Even when I hurt my back, I never experienced the pain I have with this. BTW, as of this morning, the pain is almost completely gone. I was able to get out of bed by myself this morning. I'm I going crazy?
