Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 75 and my husband is 73. I left him in March, because I could not handle his bipolar any more. We have been married 43 yrs. He will not take medication our Internal Medcine Dr. Gives him. He has gotten much worse over the years. He has fits of anger and started pushing me and raising his hand to hit me. He never remembers what he does, I think he will just not admit it. He pushed me down stairs once and put bruises on me several times. I thought I had learned to live with it by not arguing with him, but that seemed to make it worse. I feel very torn, my children are split on what I should do, one is very angry at me because I left.
