I am 77, in very good shape both physical and mental. I do an extensive full body stretching program daily, and do a weight resistance exercise program 3 times a week. I play golf and was once a very active dancer, but have stiffness, numbness and very slight discomfort in my feet and ankles for the past three years. Had Lyme Disease in 2006. Have had all the tests performed resulting in a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy . I do not have the pain many associate with this condition. I can't walk fast, sometimes feel like I am drunk and have to be careful with balance. I walk slow like an old man. Heck, I am an older man.
Have tried a few of the recommended medications like gabapentin, duloxetine and amitriptyline. They don't do anything. Take multis and B vitamins.
I am open to any suggestions. I am currently getting chiropractic care and will begin a multi level tens type stimulation with my feet in epsom salt hot water and immeresed electrodes.
I would appreciate your comments and suggestions.
