I Am A 59 Year Old Female. Have Always Had

I am a 59 year old female. Have always had issues with slow bowels/constipation. I got to the point of sucking in my stomach and pushing to go to the bathroom and it seemed to help. However now, if I try it, it will feel like a bulge in my right side and then I stop and push against it with my hand and straighten up, it will go away. I haven't done that in a long time but now if I lift my right foot and turn my body slightly, or bend and turn, I will feel that inner bulge and right away straighten myself out and push against it and it disappears. I wonder if I hurt my insides by doing that.
