I am a 65 yr female with a complicated medical history. Had a liver transplnt 22 yrs ago and have been on cyclosporin(anti rejection med) for all 22yrs. Had a triple heart bypss, 2 colon resections, a fall which resulted in a head injury and fractured eye socket, brain bleed and tube fed for 6 mos. The last was 5 yrs go and have pretty much recovered fully from tht. I am now on dialysis for 6 yrs. now. I have been on prozac for at lest 5-6 yrs. It seems to have quit so my doctor stopped it and 1 week later put me on Zoloft 100mg. I had pain in my liver, bad headaches and in my neck. I stopped after 4 days. She now prescribed lexapro 5 mg. fter reading about zoloft i found it doesnt work like it shoud in seniors with kidney problems nd mybe I should cut it in half and try a lower dose, 50 mg. which I read was a strting dose for seniors because of their loss of kidney function? Maybe even a lower dose instead of switching meds(to lexapro)
Thanks, Lucia
