I Am A Petite Women, Who Had Two Babies, 8.5

I am a petite women, who had two babies, 8.5 lbs. and 9 lbs in my thirties. (I am now 59, and generally healthy. Could this be the reason I am experiencing something akin to" bowel incontinence". I had my gall bladder removed 8 years ago, I've never had digestive issues, this started about 7 years ago. I experience bouts of SEVERE constipation, to these horrible episodes of bowel incontinence? I've discussed this with our family practitoner, he suggested daily fiber and more water.
