I am checking symptoms for my 88 year old mother. She is mentally sharp and as energetic as an 88 year old can be. Lives alone. Takes very good care of herself in spite of ongoing issues of interstitial cystitis, pre-diabetes, and sensitive stomach.....all of which she keeps under control with very strict diet. She is thin (5'7" 108 pounds) because of her strict diet, but had been holding steady until the last month or so. She developed c-diff a year ago, which knocked out some of the things she can eat, but she is slowly adding them back. Her diet is baked chicken, pork, and fish, red potatoes, carrots, English peas, squash, green beans, eggs, grits, white wheat bread, butter, olive oil, salt....that's it! She had been feeling so much better, but within the last few weeks has spells of nausea and dizziness, along with having lost a few pounds. She is on florastor, carafate, centrum silver, atenolol, small dose amlodapine, and fibercon which keeps bowel movements regular. She does not feel fatigued. Any ideas? Thank you.
