I Fell Last Monday Night Playing Softball And Landed With

I fell last Monday night playing softball and landed with my right elbow lodging into my lower right quadrant of my rib cage. It has been extremely sore but no bruising. Coughing, movement, driving, sneezing....basically everything causes discomfort. My question and concern is, I'm experiencing serious bloating. Why? How long will this last? And if it's a broke rib, is there anything that can be done?
