I found a swollen lymph node in my neck and went to see my Dr. because I had a large cell tumor (benign) about six years go that resulted in six weeks of radiation, a sister who died from metastatic brain cancer at 56 last year with an unknown primary, ( am 53), an Aunt that died of breast cancer at 37, and have alternating sweats with profuse sweating, and chills, along with very itchy skin, my Dr. is sending me to see a cancer specialist next week. The swollen lymph node is not sore and I have had it for at least a month. It is only about the size of a pea. I am wondering how likely it is that I could have lymphoma? The Dr. says it most likely is wasting my time to send me to the specialist, but is erring on the side of caution.
