Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get this burning sensation in my gut area and then nausea. Sometimes following one of these incidents I will have to have a BM but not always. I am taking dexilent at night and nexium in the morning. They are not helping. It seems to happen more on an empty stomach but it also can happen after eating. I have IBS and have been diagnosed with Barrett's and get checked every few years. However, some times they will tell me after the endoscopy that there is no sign of Barrett's. So I am confused. Does this mean it's gone or that it never was? Sometimes I get clammy and feel flushed when I have these episodes but not always. This can happen once a day or several times a day. I really need a solution as these episodes can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. I feel like I'm going to vomit but I haven't yet.
