I had a Toric IOL implanted into my left eye September 2016. Paid $3,000.00. The first two weeks of the surgery, my vision was 20/15...it was great. Then after the two weeks, my vision in the left eye started to decline. About 3 months after the surgery, my opthalmologist told me I needed the YAG laser for a supposed Postcapsular cataract. The lights at night went from bright to super bright and my distance vision is now the worst that I have eve had in my life (60 years). Now about 20/100! Last visit, the opthalmologist now wants to do a PRK to my left eye to give me a "little more" distance vision. This means screwing around with my cornea! My right eye as a very immature cataract and does not need intervention at this time, but the opthalmologist keep insisitng that my vision will be great when I have the second one done! I live for today...not 5 years down the road when the other cataract needs to be corrected! I am not trusting this guy anymore....he is an reputable opthalmologist in Boston.... but my vision is horrible and with him wanting to do a PRK on my left eye terrifies me! He is a busy doctor...looks at my left eye and states that the position is good....i have read that if the position rotates after implantation, that there may be problems. I need a second opinion before this guys rips up my cornea!
