I Had A Sore Throat Along, A Red Patch Of

I had a sore throat along, a red patch of spots on the top of my throat, a runny them stuffy nose, a fever of 101.6 and was extremely sick and didn't get out of bed for a few days. My doctor thought I had a viral infection, possible mono or pharyngitis, but told me to go home, rest and I'd be okay. I felt better after about two weeks and was healthy for about two more. I now have a terrible sore throat, ulcers on both the back of my throat (on the sides) and under my tongue (by my saliva glands). Could this be the sickness returning and what's the best possible way to get rid of it?
